I saw this on a customer’s system where calls were being disconnected when the * button was pressed during the call.
This was being caused by 2 settings. The first being the default Asterisk feature code for disconnecting a call. You can see these at the Asterisk CLI like this –
server1*CLI> features show
Builtin Feature Default Current
--------------- ------- -------
Pickup *8 *8
Blind Transfer # #
Disconnect Call * *
So you can see there is a default feature code for disconnecting the call by pressing *
This setting will only be honoured if you have a ‘H’ or ‘h’ in the Asterisk dial command in A2Billing. To check this go to settings and the agi-conf you are using and look for the dialcommand_param and if there’s a ‘H’ or ‘h’ in there take it out –
It could be useful to have it in there if this agi-conf is used by calling card customers and you want to enable them to make follow on calls, but not for SIP customers.
See here for more info about the dial command – http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cmd+Dial
